In addition to tuning and voicing, we offer a full-service repair and rebuilding shop that is set up to handle all of the most common jobs. Below you'll find a partial list of available services and an estimated price range for each.
Each piano's needs are unique. Your recommended services and cost estimate will be determined upon our evaluation of your piano.
Tuning - Tuning is generally needed once per year, takes around an hour, and costs $140. Severely out-of-tune pianos may require a pitch raise, for $225.
Reconditioning - This general tune-up of the action includes cleaning out dust and debris, tightening screws, lubricating friction points, re-shaping hammers, and minor regulation. This valuable and long-lasting service costs between $375 and $525, and takes less than 2 weeks. (Tuning fee extra)
General Repairs - Broken keys or strings, stuck casters, damaged wood pieces, tarnished brass, squeaks and clicks...we can fix it all!
Cleaning/Detailing - Full interior cleaning that includes polishing the strings, cleaning the soundboard (under the strings), and detailing the plate and tuning pin area, as well as blowing dirt out of the action and vacuuming out the action cavity. Includes a custom felt string cover to keep the inside looking great! $225-$300
Restringing - Replacing all the strings requires bringing the whole piano to our shop, and can include cleaning or refinishing the soundboard and re-gilding the plate and hardware, in addition to all new strings and tuning pins, and several tunings. This job can take up to 12 weeks and costs from $2000 to $3000, depending on the size of the piano.
Sales - The instruments currently in our showroom range in price. All used pianos have been reconditioned, and every sale includes delivery to a ground floor and your first tuning.
